Baked Beans: These beans taste as if they were done from scratch, even though they are very easy to make. Brussels Sprouts: I happen to love them; my husband doesnt, particularly, but he thinks these are the best and is happy to eat them any time. Gingered Carrots: Try this with people who say they dont like carrots (people who do, will LOVE it). You may convert the disbelievers. Red Peppers with Tomatoes: Another favorite for a company dinner. Its something they probably wont have had before. Stuffed Tomatoes: This is one of my favorites for company dinner, since it may be prepared the day ahead. It looks beautiful on a grilled meat platter. Spinach Surprise: Its much like a souffle, and is very rich. Make it ahead of time and freeze it, to save preparation time the day of. Leftovers reheat well. Three Bean Hot Casserole: This is an old recipe, and a wonderful side dish for ham. I love to take it on a picnic. |
