Baked Beans: These beans taste as if they were done from scratch, even though they are very easy to make.

Brussels Sprouts: I happen to love them; my husband doesn’t, particularly, but he thinks these are the best and is happy to eat them any time.

Gingered Carrots: Try this with people who say they don’t like carrots (people who do, will LOVE it). You may convert the disbelievers.

Red Peppers with Tomatoes: Another favorite for a company dinner. It’s something they probably won’t have had before.

Stuffed Tomatoes:
This is one of my favorites for company dinner, since it may be prepared the day ahead. It looks beautiful on a grilled meat platter.

Spinach Surprise: It’s much like a souffle, and is very rich. Make it ahead of time and freeze it, to save preparation time the “day of.” Leftovers reheat well.

Three Bean Hot Casserole: This is an old recipe, and a wonderful side dish for ham. I love to take it on a picnic.
