Ham Loaf: Ever hear the expression — the definition of “eternity” is “two people and a ham?” Here’s a great way to use up those leftovers and is a great substitute for the traditional meatloaf.

Kessler Ribchen with Kale: This is a very special, old German recipe. Some folks make it with sauerkraut, but I think kale is what makes it so unique. The aroma will drive you crazy.

Leg of Lamb, Grilled: Marinated with herbs, this lamb can be grilled or roasted in the oven. A nice change from the traditional roasted leg.

Osso Bucco: It’s not that much trouble, but it tastes as if you’ve spent days getting ready. Most people order it in restaurants, but this is the best.

Veal Loaf:
A Johnston family favorite and another great substitute for the traditional meatloaf. It’s very moist and tender, never tough.
